FAQs

Is wisdom tooth surgery painful?

Paramount to successful surgery is thorough anesthesia. This means that the entire area where the wisdom tooth/teeth need to be removed from is completely anaesthetized. You may feel some pressure sensation and hear a few sounds, but it is certainly not a painful process.

Is it painful after?

It is very normal to feel some tenderness around the surgical site for one or two days. After that, it settles down and returns back to normal. We will provide you with sufficient analgesics, antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medication to ensure a smooth healing process.

Are there any dietary restrictions after wisdom tooth removal?

Yes. Ideally you should not consume anything to hot or too hard within the first one to two days. Temperature hot items can irritate the healing gums and hard things can pressurize the wound site. It is better to stick to a soft diet, served at room temperature.

How much medisave can I use for wisdom tooth surgery?

The exact amount of medisave will depend on several factors:

  1. The number of teeth removed
  2. The position of the wisdom tooth
  3. How it is removed

How do I find the right dental surgeon to remove my wisdom tooth?

The key to swift and efficient wisdom tooth removal with fast healing is having an experienced surgeon. You want to look for clinicians who are experienced in the field of oral surgery, but also those who have a reputation for gentle hands.

A well-trained clinician is insufficient. You should look for experience, a reputation for soft hands and someone who makes you comfortable.
